Internship Available: Membership Development & Outreach Coordinator
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In cooperation with the board and staff, the Membership Development & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing
and implementing a membership, outreach, and contribution strategy for the Center.
This will include (1) making recommendations for enhancing our website and promotional materials, (2) assisting in preparing and delivering public
presentations (including use of Power Point and video), (3) strengthening and guiding relationships with media, and (4) identifying and developing
outreach and fundraising programs for appropriate target groups within the regional community (coastal Georgia).
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in relevant area of study, preferably with at least one year of appropriate experience working with an environmental
non-profit membership organization. Must be a good communicator, work well with a variety of people, and demonstrate a strong commitment to
environmental protection, stewardship, and conservation.
LOCATION: Saint Simons Island, Georgia
DURATION: (internship only): Minimum 90 days, but with sufficient performance and adequate funding could be extended.
START DATE: As soon as possible.
HOURS: Very flexible; full time (including benefits) prefer 20hours-a-week, minimum. Will consider fewer hours depending on circumstances and
schedule. Office is normally open forty hours a week, eight hours a day, five days a week, but meetings at night and on weekends are not uncommon.
STIPEND/SALARY/BENEFITS: Commensurate with experience, minimum of $10 an hour.
